yeah, really the motor it's self did not look real bad on the out side, and it has not been draining hardly any oil on the ground, been there for over week now, but who knows on the inside of it.
-
apparently the man i talked to has not seen the truck or is mentally retarded, either way he would not know that it had D44, which if the motor AND axle were both good, then i think $600 aint bad, but since he wouldn't know any different, i tried to talk him down, but he would not lower is price.

that just does not look safe :dunno:

Couple Miles up the road from were i live in clinton is a little car lot that had a 88, SWB, 2wd, 4.0L, AW-4,D44 with 218,xxx Miles. Went and looked at it today, and this truck is absolutely in horrible condition! These pictures make the truck look 10 times better than it really is, the only real straight piece of metal is the hood. So i called the number and asked how much, the man said $600! HE then preceded to tell me how good of condition the truck was in, He said all it need was exhaust (it was cut off at tranny) and a windshield (can't see in pictures, but is spider cracked all over) All four tires had wires popping out, only 3-4 lug nuts per tire, no radio, part of dash missing, TCU just hanging in the middle of the truck by a wire, door panels had been cut for speakers, then they ripped the speakers out, tail gate would not open, only 1 real jeep tail light, the other don't even fit right, drivers window did not roll up, so inside was completely soaked, as it has been raining all weekend, driver's door handle was broke, rear bumper hanging on by a wire, and you can see by the pictures the light lenses that are broken. the floor boards rusted out, ect.... He did not know i was standing there with the truck, but it just pissed me off he was telling me how great of condition it was and ready to go anywhere :fs1: All i wanted was the rear-end and motor, but i aint paying that much for it, AND have some one lie to me. :fs1:

which one was the better one TF909 or TF999? And the Aw-4 off of a 2.5L will bolt right up to my 4.0?

I have several question, and i want to make sure I'm right on everything else. 1.Jeep had a 3 speed Auto they used in 86's and earlier right? what was it's name? 2.Then they had the AX-4/AX-5 they used behind there 2.5L. what years? 3. BA 10/5 was used from 87-89 behind the 4.0L, and i know it aint worth shooting. 4. AX-15 behind the 4.0L from 90-? 5. AW-4 behind the 4.0L from ?-? 6. What Auto tranny was used for the 2.5L after 86 ? 7. Was the tranny's used in the 2.5L the same as the 2.8L

Welcome to the madness :wavey: I'm going to take a wild guess that by the amount of rust on your Mj you are located in the northern part of the states? :D

Nice gun I like using single shots when I'm rabbit hunting, Usually I only have one shot at the rabbit and if I have more then one shell in the gun I'll ended up shooting them all and just waste ammo. :brows:

ok makes sense thanks :clapping:

i sure hope that was the problem, that was way to much work if it wasn't. as i did not have the proper tools for job, no extensions, or wobble or 45 degree ones, just a plan ol socket set, it was a pain in the @$$! :grrrr:

Bought a brake light that goes in my trailer hitch so maybe the people in the city will start to realize a little sooner that when my brake lights are on it means i am slowing down!

Changed my CPS, put it all back to gather, and then found one of the lock washers for the 2 bolts on the CPS :fs1: :fs1: :wall: :wall: :wall:

Last night while i was on break from class I drove over to Quick trip, and that was i as far as i made it, Died on me in the parking lot, started checking things out, had fuel, all my grounds were good causes everything turned on, but no spark to the engine. so i said screw cause i was already late getting back to class and it was raining, dark and cold and i didn't want to mess with it, so i had it towed, (AAA so it was free  ) got up this morning started no problem, So i called Carquest and they had CPS so i went and got it, and replaced this morning, drove it back to home home this afternoon (1 1/2 hr drive) no problem, and actually runs a little better. So I'm hoping that was the problem, it has died on me before at random times but had always started right back up.
