  1. the only thing you got to worry about is me taking parts, taking a whole truck is a lot of work and sometimes I'm pretty lazy :rotfl2:
  2. I'm confused to :huh???: :D
  3. well I'm working on that, just waiting for a good deal to pop up :chillin:
  4. you mean putting in the switch for 1st and 2nd?
  5. hmmm... i was hoping that it didnt matter
  6. went to the JY and got a TCU out of a 92 XJ, and installed it on my 88 hoping it would fix my problem. does it matter that it was out of a HO? because now i have NO OD and when i put it in D and go it will be in 3rd gear by the time i hit 25mph with it floored, and it will not downshift no matter what, if i manually shift it no problem.
  7. :fool: ok ok, i know i messed up, was a little busy at the time and pre-occupied so it slipped my mind. sure didnt want to sell it, but didnt have much of a choice. its been almost 2 years since i sold it, times were pretty rough on me back then. believe me, I'm still kicking my @$$ wishing there had been another way..
  8. no  but he was looking at my CC decal pretty hard for a couple minutes so....maybe
  9. ok so went to Oreillys today dinking around looking at stuff, i go to leave and walk outside to find some guy laying underneath my truck! Now i had no idea what was going on so walked up and with a bit of an attitude asked WTH he was doing?? Well i startled the hell out of the guy, never seen someone come out from underneath a truck so fast. :rotf: anyway he said he was looking at how my truck was lifted, said he had an 86 MJ and was wanting to get a little lift for it. so i told him what i had, and we talked for little bit he was telling me about his, then i started thinking, and asked, "is your truck camo with a rear pipe bumper?" he said yes..... that was my first Comanche! so i started asking questions, find out he was the guy i sold it to, we both didnt recognize each other  i asked if was thinking about selling it,and of coarse he said no. bummer. but it was cool to see that guy again and hear about my ol truck, said it was still in good condition, the rear axle gave up the other day so he is upgrading and putting on some 31s. sure wish i could get it back though.... :wall:

    damn cold

HAHA, you think that's cold? I'll drag you up to WI one of these days. Two winters ago, it was so freaking cold for a few weeks, that when it got up to -15 one day, it felt like summer. Then again, I wear shorts all year long. I think I own two pairs of pants. nope, I'm good. you would have to knock me out and tie me up to get me to go there in the winter  I'm a wussy when it comes to cold.
  11. took the muffler back off......I'm going to rig it up were i can just bolt/un-bolt it so I'm not welding it back on all the time :D

    damn cold

man that sounds like that really sucks. worst ive ever experienced (i that i know of) was only a windchill of -7. and that was kinda a freaky year anyway. i like living in the middle of the US, but it still gets to cold in the winter IMHO
  13. same here, since i got my first one 3 years ago I'm always looking for one. since ive been in kansas city for awhile now ive seen quite a few very nice ones, it really surprised me.

    Uncle Ted

wow, that was good. ditto what you all said. got to be 25 here in Missouri before you can get CW permit, and ill be damned if that aint the very first thing i do that morning on my 25th b-day :D untill then i just keep my pistol in my truck, if i get in another car, it goes with me.
  15. i got the OEM 195, and the needle runs all the way up to the 210ish mark on my gauge, then t-stat opens and at normal driving heat/no heat the needle sits at 155ish. (half-way mark). so same thing as jake, i have warm air blowing out, enough to get comfortable, but nothing to brag about.
  16. I'm surprised nobody has said anything about the weather yet. i vote a place were it gets no colder than 40 degrees. i hate working in the cold were you can't feel your fingers. so we need a place with sand, mud, hills, rocks, grass, and all year round warm weather. sorry you guys that want snow, you will just have to get some snow machines and make it.

    My new project

ok, ok, you people with badass looking trucks and the upgraded interior should stop posting pictures. :rotfl2: it makes me think to much about mine and how none of that cool stuff will happen to it in the near future :( :rotfl2:
  23. i love it. so much easier for me to read :D
  24. i expected it cause its just my kinda luck.... but anyway, the day before all this happened i backed out of a parking spot and put in drive and it didn't do anything, thought i was still in N so i dropped to 3rd, still nothing, it took it over a minute to finally find a forward gear. to me thats something mechanical inside the tranny, but all the other problems ive had make me think electrical. i would try that Eagle but it's 2 hrs away now, and it never does these problem any certain time, like with the torque converter acting up, i drove as far as 300 miles with out it acting up, and the next 100 miles it was acting up all the time.
  25. well i figured it would happen and it did, going to work this morning driving thru downtown Kansas city running around 40 mph and the tranny slammed to 1st gear and that was it. i stoped checked fluid it's good, started back up and all i had was 1st and reverse. just had it towed to clinton, and drove it again, and had all gears, shifted just fine no problems. WTF? :wall:
