  1. :clapping:
  2. I really don't know why you guys have to make fun of us rednecks all the time. Edit: I can't go to Wal-Mart because of the "Made in China" thing.
  3. Two Large cheese pizzas, today only, for only $17.99 plus tax, plus delivery fee, plus fee for using your credit card, plus, fee for calling me and not knowing what you want when you call, plus fee for being dumb and not knowing your adress or phone number, plus fee for not really liking you or your political or racial opinions, plus...I'm sure I can come up with some extra fees when I think about it, brings your bloody total up to $134 dollars and .62 cents. Happy BLACK FRIDAY Everybody :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
  4. Or it could be the "Chico syndrome" where evrything is brand new and fine and it just does this normally. You've described my exact situation to a tee and everything related to the cooling system is brand new. I've kept the needle at around 210* by running the aux fan fulltime and keeping the HVAC system on full blast all the time. Good luck fixing it and let me know if you come up with anything new.
  5. High jack 2 posts further. I changed my speedo gear to whatever BLHTAZ and Eagle told me. I can't remember the tooth count right now. I got it from BLHTAZ when he worked at the dealer. And I drive like a grandma's grandma :rotfl2:
  6. I'm sure I have issues :rotfl2: Maybe it's because I'm running 31's on 3.55 gears. Maybe it's because my engine has 220,000 on it. Maybe it's because I rarely run it on the highway. Who knows man. I gave up on throwing parts at it. Oh and sorry bout the thread high-jack dude.
  7. Yes, but I get 1 MPG better (from 12 to 13) if I keep the temp at 210* instead of 225* :rotfl2:
  8. I know on mine the electric fan would only turn on if the temp at the sensor at the radiator got to 220 or 230*. I know it turns on also when you turn the AC on. To test the fan to see if it worked I jumpered it directly to the battery for a second (I know not smart) but I needed to make sure the fan motor actually worked because it would never turn on when it was cold out. Come summertime it actually started turning on for a couple of minutes when my temp gauge would reach a little below the 3/4 line. I needed it to come on earlier to keep my temp down at 210* so I put it on a manual relayed switch in the cab so I could run it full time. Hope that helps a little. The sensor for the fan is screwed in on the driver's side of the radiator.
  9.
  10. Sorry Akula I don't but I think Brent put up an electrical manual up in the DIY forum. I can get you a pic of where mine is but it won't be clear. I hooked up my electric fan up to a relayed switch and disconnected that sensor. The reason it might only come on with the AC is because your engine isn't hot enough to need it. Mine only turned on after my temp gauge was close to the 3 quarter mark. I put it on a switch to run it full time. Let me know if you want a pic of that area and I'll get you one.
  11. When you speak of an aux fan, are you talking about the electric fan on the right side of the radiator? mine is hard-wired into a harness that runs thru the firewall to the ECM. (it appears to be a custom pin change to the ECM). If not that fan, where would anothe be mounted? Thanks Yup the electric fan.
  12. Did you check all your ground wires? Battery to block, block to back of head, and head to firewall. If they're old, replace em. Oh wait you have a 2.5 so I'm not sure where the locations are, but check your grounds anyway.
  13. The switch in the radiator is actually to turn on your aux fan when it hits a certain temp. it's connected to a relay on the inner driver's side fender well. Of course if you have no aux fan it won't be there. The two temp senders that go in the back of the head look exactly alike. You just have to make sure you get the one for full gauges. I bought them at NAPA and Autozone. Price was 10-15 dollars.
  14. I'm still with IAC. I had the exact same symptons on a 96 VW. Changed out IAC. Problem fixed.
  15. I'm leaning toward your IAC is bad. Have you checked it lately?
  16. Wade, did it work?
  17. Bloody Boy Scout :D
  18. It wasn't random Bookie. It was DESTINY  And Smitty, drink another one. There's nothing wrong with his paint job.
  19. Actually CET, if any one company had to buy Jeep out I'd prefer it was Hyundai. I bought my wife their little SUV and I have nothing but praise to give their product, service, and dealership experience. And this is coming from a ,buy "Made in America" ,screw the world kinda guy.
  20. Well....from the looks of it he may be missing more than a few hubcaps  Bookie, I'm not gonna lie to you. CJ's never came with hubcaps :rotfl2:
  21. Uuumm, hawk I think you're missing a hubcap on that CJ.
  22. Yeah Dave, but here's the deal. X is a manmade drug extermely capable of causing a huge amount of damage to a human. At the moment we're discussing a plant that has about the same effect on you as drinking half a bottle of rum or BLHTAZ's case of Bud Light Lime.
