You need to put these back on too.. Its the wire looking things. They hold pressure on the pads keeping them from rattling... <<>>

Sweet! I was looking for one of those not long ago.... To bad it doesn't show the valve side though...
-
yeah they drive camaros, mustangs, chargers, tahoes, and get this,,,, XJ's! I saw a group of marked crown vic's pulling trailers last summer, and the trailers had Harley's on them painted the same black and silver.... ummm thinking about those bikes makes me hungry,, they were parked at a cracker barrel,,, now thats some good eating there!!!! I think the new Chargers look the meanest though!!!!

here you go,,, A lil to dark on some shots,, take some tomorrow in the daylight with sun behind you.. but make sure your shadow is out of the shot. -
jack it up and wiggle the wheel and see how much it wobbles... it should rock a tad but not a whole whole lot.

jtdesigns replied to Beachbum1236's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Take the intake cap off the TB/carb bore.. Take a shot looking straight down into the piece. I still think its TB injected though. -
I have to disagree,,, they make springs that snap to the caliper to hold the pads and keep them from rattling...

haha. i had a cop try and write me a ticket for a burnt out reverse light once. i just flipped on my rear fog and said "factory improvement"...he laughed and let me go. it's nuts what cops THINK they have a right to do...one burnt out reverse light (which i actually just picked up the bulb for), and i guess you're done for. right .. Just wonder how much better the country would be if they (police officers) would concentrate that much dedication on busting drug dealers and street gangs!

That sounds like a good breakdown,, I never did the two wet test and took the average.. Next time I will do that. I like using the remote switch too.. I get so frustrated when someone (usually Steph) gets in there and just starts cranking away and never listens for me to say,, "OK" but keeps it spinning... :headpop: One more thing you should do is disable your fuel pump.. either remove the fuse or wire. you forgot that one....

getting speeding tickets with that rig would be only a far off dream, never to be achieved. You must have never met a NC State Trooper.......... no i have'nt as of yet.when i am in nc it is usually on my motorcycle and almost always on the windy back roads that i love to "play"on.when i am on the main roads or interstates,i never speed.you are just too much of a sitting duck.i guess it's just too hard for the cops to make the big money writing tickets on the back roads. not enough traffic.probably the only time they patrol these roads is at nite when it's easy pickin's to bust the drunk rednecks in their p/u trucks on the way home from the bar! oh man your 100% right,, those guys lie in wait for the next sucker that speeds by them..lol You wouldn't believe the number of license checks I've been through in the last 2 months.. Thursday I went through one, and there were like 6 cars pulled over on the side... Its so bad around here that one of my friends got a ticket for a park light being out  and her tires didnt have enough tread left.. it all added up to about 5 infractions on one ticket... The (female ) trooper made the girls grandfather come and pick her up, wouldn't let her drive her car anywhere.. crazy strict!

Hmmm . . . my 1987 4.0L has 155# across the board (with no significant variation), with 296K miles. Don't think it's been rebuilt, but who knows? That could be gauge variance too. I need to do a comp test on my engine, but I don't know if the gauge will fit. I bought it for my Honda, but isn't the 4.0 plugs standard??

I guest the value of the ones I saved just went up :D Ya know, at worst, you could make the trim pieces from an XJ work with just cutting them to length at the rear ;) But I also notice that the ones I removed also had thick double face tape on them. Unless that was a repair done to them :dunno: Funny you mention that.. The drivers side on mine had some sort of glue, but the passenger side didn't. The glue looked factory, but IDK, and three were three clips on both sides that I had to pry out of the rail.. No biggie.

lol you got a good deal! I just bought the front ccv hose that snaps into the hose that goes into the air filter box for 45+- a buck... and going to buy the other side soon.. I think its like 48 or something.. the rear line was 16..

I always look for the filter with a anti-drain back valve. I just changed my oil and got a pretty blue Purolator Pureone advanced auto part# pl14619 for my mj.. It was the mid-grade filer..

Well I did it, but I just just a gasket scraper.. and then my ADD kicked in and I removed the window trim and cowl cover... washed everything and started sanding on all the trim pieces!! I'm going to call a guy tomorrow who does powder coating near me and see what kind of deal a case of Miller will get me! :brows:
