  2. The two door XJ seatbelt is longer/shorter than the MJ - can't remember exact dimensions but it was a little close for comfort so on mine measured the old belt and bought one that was as close as possible - Chinesium unit off of Amazon. On the bench seat the china unit was almost too short on the female side and had to modify the bracket for the retractor to bolt up properly and still not interfere with trim panel. I have a 2 door Cherokee will have to look at that again to see the difference but think the retractor mount is on the floor on the Cherokee & on the MJ it's about half way down the pillar.
  3. What is the size of our rubber fuel lines? Provided your motor is a FI 4.0 Liter.

  5. Plasma cutter is a nice trick My driver side front lower bolt head sheared clean off too. It took three welded nuts to finally remove it, but it came out.
  6. Alas, the elusive Yazaki PA mirror switch connector straight from Japan. Had to order 3 so if anyone needs one let me know.
  7. I don't remember if I saw an answer or not.
  8. !986 X 4X4 Originally had 2.5 with automatic, currently 1994 4.0L AW4 NP 231 Originally had D30 D35 now 1995 Isuzu D44 rear and 86 waggy d44 build date is missing I'm working on getting it back on the road very soon. Last time it was registered was 2009, I have owned it since 2005. Located in Dallas NC
  9. My family had temporary lurching issues in our 97 ZJ 4.0L. The issue was a combo of a bad O2 sensor and a cracked header.
  10. I had a similar situation with a stuck bumper bolt. Those are some hard bolts. My ultimate go to for a truly stuck bolt is a plasma cutter. It’s like a mini light saber. Once the metal has turned to liquid it’s smooth sailing

  12. Was it ever confirmed that a 2-door XJ seat belt will fit and work perfectly for the MJs?
  13. I really don't like reviving such old threads, however, I certainly will not be the last person that runs into this issue, and since the question will inevitably be searched up by a future MJ enthusiast, I would like to say something regarding this advice for those who stumble upon this thread. This is the best thing I've read. Let me put it into perspective, if you're stuck on the lower seat belt bolts. 1. This bolt is in a prime spot to not only rust and completely seize up inside the body. The heads by now may be so rotted that no Torx T50 will get a good grip (mine sure we're). And to top it off, I seeing comments that from the factory these bolts were applied thread locker- making them that much harder to remove. 2. The bolt may be so frozen that welding a nut onto it and torquing it may just shear the bolt itself- happened recently to a friend of mine on his truck, actually. So if none of the advice given works. Easy out makes things harder, drill bit hates the ultra hard steel, candle wax won't budge it, liquid wrench doesn't wrench anything... Then you'll be in the same boat that I was. So I used a metal-cutting oscillating saw to hack off the bolts flush with the inside of the truck. Cleaned up the rust, and did exactly what Pete above suggested. Because in the end, it may save time, money, sweat, blood, KNUCKLES, and heartache. Will it it be like it was new? No, and your truck certainly isn't at this point anyway, so save yourselves some agony and just drill a new hole next to the old. There are some battles not worth waging, and some hills not worth dying on. Harsh, but true.
  14. So I just learned the rear bumper I have for my MJ won't work. It came off my parts long bed and and the mounting holes are different on my short bed. I need one ASAP as I have to put my MJ on a boat by the end of May. I was planning for chrome but I can go with black if someone has the matching black front bumper. I can even trade the straight chrome bumpers that I have.
  15. I ordered a front bumper extension and I received a rear cherokee XJ bumper extension. Crown makes the bumper extensions. Unfortunately it does not fit right on the front. The geometry is wrong even though it looks close.
  16. Thanks, I'll try to post the progress!
  17. Might be interested in the front bumper extensions since I have to replace my chrome bumper, and the original extensions are long gone. Yours are just the meal ticket, am I right? The part numbers seem to be a bit different from the ones I found on Quadratech, is the reason I ask, mainly.
  18. The AZ bit is so true. In 2015/2016 I lived in Flagstaff and frequented Phoenix. I'll always live with the painful reminded of what happened to my thighs as I had to drive a 2004 Mustang GT with charcoal leather seats and the whole car was dark gray in and out. Sage, sage advice.
