mknherhappy Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Sure this is a stupid question, but, how do you get to the back of the JEEP letters on the front of the MJ to remove them? Thanks again.
robfg67 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 This post should help: http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... hp?t=10008
james750 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 it depends on if it was applied with 3m sign tape or foam tape. with foam tape you can just pry it off with a screwdriver. if its 3m sign tape you need to use a heat gun to soften the adhesive and use mineral spirits to neutralize the adhesive.
mknherhappy Posted June 13, 2008 Author Posted June 13, 2008 What year is your truck? 1988. Cannot figure out how to get to the back of them.
james750 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 ok, then yours has nuts on the back. just remove the cover on the top of the radiator cover (thats right a cover on a cover) that blocks the bolts on the header panel. ill take pics and repost.
james750 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 There are 5 torx bolts on the radiator cover, and 4 nuts on the header, one of the torx holds on the hood release catch, remove that cover and there is access to the emblem(s)
