Thank you, yes, I have the blow by, but excessive, already cleaned out the pvc lines etc. One mechanic gave up saying there is no compression to speak of, the vacuum is awful, so I took it into another shop with a well respected mechanic, and he had the same diagnosis. thanks for the input.

I have a 1988 Comanche with a 4.0 242 I 6 motor. After several visits to two different auto repair shop, it has become very apparent that my motor is basically shot. My question that I'm hoping you all can answer for me is, what replacement motors will work for replacement without major changes? Can I only use the same make and year, or will newer years work? Sorry for my ignorance, this is a first for me. The truck is in too good of shape to just junk it, and I would like to put a different motor in. Also, any advice on where to find a replacement motor would be great. Thank you all for the help, Greatly appreciated.

Does the CPS need to be changed often? How are is it to change?

I need to replace the door on my 88 Comanche. Does anyone know what year range Cherokee doors will work for this replacement? Any helpful hints on how to change doors out? Thank you for your help

We had freezing rain for two days, got my doors open, however the knobs won't pop back out. Had them warmed up enough to work during the day, but when the sun went down, the froze again. Should I spray them with WD40? Any ideas would be appreciated.

How do you clean this? Is it something that someone that is not too mechanically inclined could/can do? Thank you.

The only thing about this program that makes it worth looking into for me is the fact that Chrysler will match the $4500.00 gov program. Plus the $1000.00 rebate, thats giving me $10,000 trade in value for a truck worth $1500.00. Believe me I'm not excited about the possibility of this trade, however, the frame on my truck is not good, floor boards need replaced, lots of bondo in it, but, its been a good forum for my youngest son and I to spend some quality time together working on it. Emotions aside, can't come up with a sensible reason not to, but emotions/attachments are huge...

Never thought I would think of it, but, realistically, my Comanche is worth $1500.00 or so, basically going in to a Jeep dealer, I get $9000.00 trade value. Its hard not to atleast give it some thought, for me anyway. Prove my logic is wrong...........seriously

Anyone know the bolt size used to hold the differential cover on a dana 30?

Actually bought it from Quadratec, they sent me a replacement kit, unfortunately that kit also has the wrong brackets. They also promised to call me back Friday afternoon to let me know what will be done, but that call never was made either. I will be calling them right away Monday morning.

After several phone calls and assurances from Olympic today to take care of my problem, just called back only to find everyone but the receptionist is gone for the day. Great customer service huh? If I sound sarcastic, I am. This treatment is ridiculous.

Hi, Its the 560 Olympic Rock Nerf Bar Set. I have received two sets that contained the wrong brackets. The brackets that are shown in the directions have two holes in them, the ones I received twice have four holes. I thought maybe it was an upgrade, however, the hardware with the kit was for two holes and the brackets themselves had the wrong angle also. Thanks,

Anyone have any experience dealing with Olympic 4X4 products? I'm currently trying to get the correct brackets for the Nerf Bars I ordered. Quadratec sent a replacement kit, but that also had the incorrect brackets. I called and left two messages last week, but no return call, now this morning I have been told twice that I will get a call back from them, but so far no call. Just looking to see if this is an isolated issue, or common.

What weight and brand of differential lube for a Dana 30 and 35 do you recommend? How often do you change? Thank you.

I got a rear main seal that is leaking, not a bad leak, but, leaves a few drops of oil after sitting for a day or two. I know the proper way is to have the seal fixed by removing the transmission, however, I don't have the ability to do that. Just wondering if any of the sealers in a bottle/can work? If so, which one? Thanks again.

Prior to painting or rhino lining, which is a better cleaner, Acetone or Denatured Alcohol? Or is there a better cleaner? Thanks again.
