silicone hoses

Has anybody switched there vacuum line to silicone lines? Is it a worthwhile upgrade if you are replacing them anyway?

 

I am also going to switch my heater hoses to silicone when i replace them.

That top hose doesn't fit very well though. It should be going under the AC lines and behind the compressor... shouldn't it?

BLHTAZ is correct. That hose seems to be for a non-AC model.

Nope. This is the stock hose routing on my 91, if those are pics of LEAD's 93 XJ.

Renix hoses run behind the AC. HO hoses run on top of the AC.

 

The BRX hoses are designed off of the HO hoses, but will fit the Renix XJ/MJ without any issues.

Do the Renix ones run under the AC lines? I don't think I have any pics of my 88's engine bay.
