I run two cheapo 20 gallons here...they suck compared to what that thing is.

generally, craftsman is a good brand. it's a cheap compressor still, but I'd say a max. bid of $50-$70 and you'd have gotten a great deal.

What you going to do with it?? Not good if your going paint alot, or run da sanders, but good nuff for impacts and air rachets..

Well, I was gonna do all that, so guess it's not a good idea.

ANY compressor is better than none. i've painted with ours and it was OK...but i couldn't really do the whole car at once, a panel at a time was fine.

well I miss read the auction.. 30 gal,, you can paint with that.. I though it said 5gal.. you may get away with that compressor for spraying.. just match your paint gun to ut.. get you a air and water separator and put a filter on your gun,,

It fine for general shop use, however, you'll find it will come up short if you use sanders, orbital or otherwise, or tools that gobble a lot of air. My experience has been that you spend more time waiting for it to repressurize than you do on your project. No matter what tool I was using when you pulled the trigger it could'nt pump air fast enuf to maintain the status qoua. I had to work in timed segments. I finally had enuf o that & bought a dual cyl 80 gal comp. Now I'm as happy as a pig in s----. Gave the old noisy one to a kid down the street so he could sand & paint his bicycle.

Yeah and you can forget about using it for any sand/abrasive blasting! If the price s right though, like Jeepco said,, better then nothing.. !!!

I had that model for a couple years (until the thieves made off with it) and I loved it. Now I have the upright version of it. :D

I got this (33 gallon) for Christmas in 2005. It's nearly the same thing...just a little bigger. I have used it a lot and love it.
