JeepcoMJ Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 so, I've discovered that factory rollbars DID have frame tie-in mounts on them beneath the bed. in lou of that, I get a nice chance at taking measurements and copying a set. I'm doing a 4wd swap on a guy's 91 sb comanche in the next couple weeks (finally...) and it's equipped with an extremely nice factory rollbar. he's allowing me to take out the rollbar and make a copy of the brackets. at that point I will also take measurements (perhaps even trace out) the exact dimensions of the rollbar for everyone on the club. anyone interested in the measurements? also, i could probably make the tie-ins on a small scale, or at least give you all measurements of them.
GirsMJ86 Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 you get those measurements be sure to let me know, i might even just pay for a set off ya since i won't have welder access anymore soon. But, i might need to make em a tad wider or whatever to work with my after market bat which i like better then the factory ones. Alex
smithe1811 Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 hey jeepco, talk to onebigmj, i sold him my 88 and it had those brackets of which you speak, maybe he can rip them off for you.
89eliminator Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 i would help you make some (then i could take a pair ;) )
