mfpdm Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Well, that is what the title says. On ebay with a starting out price of $35,000 and buy it now $50,000. Click me to see
tkgibbs27 Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 whoa. a bit pricey. looks kinda cool though.
BLHTAZ Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Not bad actually when you look at the price of a new Wrangler now. That thing is 10 times more capable and for only $15K more than a new one off the showroom floor. 99% of us could not buy a new Jeep and build it like that for that price. ;) OOOPS...just realized that it appears to still have the stock D44's under it so that takes a little away from my analogy... :chillin:
beaterjeep Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 It's not too bad, but I can almost guarantee he didn't do the work himself. I know I wouldn't pay anything near that much for it either. Did anyone else see his "build" page? After seeing that, I know it's not worth the price he's asking for it.
BLHTAZ Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 :laughin: This kind of thing... ...is what inspired this shirt... ;)
jeepdoggydogB Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Not that I could ever comeup with $60,000 for any vehicle the magazine four wheeler has $80,000 in their TJ brute conversion and in the last issue implied they might be selling it and know that it might not fetch what they put into it. http://www.fourwheeler.com/projectbuild ... hotos.html Gotta love the build and those Dana 60's
tkgibbs27 Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 i wouldn't mind having either one of those. i like the blue one more though.
WahooSteeler Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I love the Brute's, but no matter how hard I try, I just don't like the raised roof on the cab. I think it has more to do with the skylights.
tkgibbs27 Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 i think i would agree with you. i would look better without it.
mfpdm Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 I guess I see the one on ebay not as a truck but a civilized truggy. The Brute is more to my liking as a truck. I figure it's the solid bed vs the tube and mesh bed that wins it over.
tkgibbs27 Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 is it possible to find one these rather than having the door? i don't even know what you would call that plastic piece or whatever material it is made out of. Image Not Found
WahooSteeler Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 I'm sure you could find one on a CJ at the JY in a NYM. That's New York Minute. Got a little crazy on the initial thing there........ :D And I believe it's official name is the Fuel Filler Neck Support Thingamabob
WahooSteeler Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 i thought TJs were square, but there you have it gibbs!
tkgibbs27 Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 thanks guys. i spent at least an hour trying to figure out what they were. had no luck. EDIT: found a couple http://www.jeep4x4center.com/cj5/Gas_Tanks.htm
jared Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 the gas filler door  they do make a door that goes over it as an option or aftermarket accessory.
