My '89 Pioneer did not come with floorboard lights.... I have the plug pictured but I am not getting any power to it. The dome fuse and dome lights are good. Is there another connection I need to check? Something that needs to be changed since it was an option? Also are there 1 or 2 plugs? I can only find one.....

That looks like the correct style of plug but it should not be above the transmission tunnel. The footwell lights are on the outside of each footwell (nearest each door). They bolt to the lower dash trim price. Near the far edges.

Edit: if my memory is correct one wire will be pink the other black. Also the plugs did change between years but I forget what year was the changeover.

That plug given its in the middle makes me think ashtray light. Turn the headlamps on and test for power. If you have power, then it’s the ashtray lamp like I think it is.

THANKS..... Yep it's the ash tray light. Works with headlights turned on. Plus now I know where to look for the floor board plug.

Got my OEM floor lights plugged in and working..... NOW.... where do they attach under the dash?

I wish I had a pic but they attach at the corners of the lower panel. There should be a small tab sticking up in the metal support of the lower dash that lines up with the fork of the bracket itself and should line up with a hole for the screw to go into. The one on the drivers side is hidden by the e-brake release handle.
