Whats up with the location of the J E E P etrs on this header panel?

This has the 21 slot grill, which I see list for quite high prices. Also has the upper and lower header panel trim that I need to rebuild my truck.

I was just wondering whats up with the location of Jeep logo? Did someone bondo the original mounting holes and stick this badge on?

Darn, i was beaten to this post. I thought I new exactly what was going on just by reading the title

It’s factory. AMC thought that offsetting that nameplate to the drivers side made the Wagoneer a little more fancy. You can find such on the Wagoneer SJ grills in a similar fashion. 
 

Fun little fact, despite that nameplate having alignment pins, it’s the same as the one on the rear hatch for 84 and 85 XJs(might be 84 only. 85 had a change to the plastic ones in the middle)
