33in tires on 4.5in lift

I have an 88 2wd with a Rusty’s off-road 4.5 inch lift kit. Does anyone know what the biggest size tire I can fit with minimal cutting I have 17 inch rims on now with 1.5 in spacers.

A large factor in this is the backspacing of the wheel, but I believe that 33s fit with a 4.5” lift.

Wheel backspacing width and tire width make a big difference. 10.50s will probably fit easy with the right wheels. I had 33x13.5s on 10" wide wheels and they ate the fenders turning

I have some metric tires that at between 32 and 33 on a 4.5 lift. This was on a '98 XJ. The tire width is about 10.5. I was using WJ rims. I did have to have the bump stops limit the turning radius a bit. This was with a WJ Big Brake setup. I did not run spacers. I did use WJ hub bearings.

You can fit up to 33x10.5 without cutting if you properly adjust your bumpstops and turnstops. I'm on metrics that are roughly 32x10.5.
