AnotherOldJeepGuy
Ah OK. Hopefully someone with vent windows may share the ultimate solution they have already done . You might post a picture of the vent and show where it is leaking for the rest of us non-vent-window folks to ponder on ... Maybe in that new post . watchamakalit
When I had leaky vent windows in always just glued a penny to the frame under the latch. I suppose a guy could drill and tap the latch then thread a panhead screw in it to work as an adjuster of sorts.
hgeranium
For what it's worth... This DIY solution worked beautifully. I had tons of water leak in from the tops of both door seals when it rained or when I washed the truck. Sticking that poly rope in between the metal and the weather stripping fully eliminated that leak source and also cut down a ton of the wind noise. This is a great solution if you don't want to potentially change the strength at which you have to close your door with new WS. 5 minute job with ~$2 of poly rope from Wally World. Also, for leaky vent windows I stick two quarters in between the window and the latch to hold it a little extra shut and it works great. The bottom swiveling rivet thing broke on both of mine so mine need a little extra help staying fully shut.
watchamakalit
I seem to recall a mber using closed cell foam to fill the gap between the fender and lower a-pillar in front of the door hinges to help with wind noise. Not sure who or when though.
Salvagedcircuit
I installed new precision door seals on the driver side of my mj. I think it's been about 1.5 years installed. driver door bounces unless i slam it. its very annoying. it did not get easier to close. I did not change my passenger side door and I don't plan on it.
