M.T.Hands Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 Had a few members "suggest I start a build thread so here goes nothing 1988 Comanche with 6 cyl 5 speed project and progress; got a bunch of little junk to address but plans are as follows ordered window weather stripping and new door locks, install vent windows, and repair manual window regulators (that was fun) also will be working on the door latches and the 35 year old grease also picked up AX-15 and a Liberty rear 8.25" (open and 3.73 but basically free), that will hopefully get a Detroit Truetrac and 4.10 gearing pics to follow
89 MJ Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 Ohhhh yeah! This is going to be a good build.

M.T.Hands Posted October 8, 2024 Author Posted October 8, 2024 well it is/was not real exciting but I worked on the doors on the Heep today, the latches and locks were in terrible shape as well as the weather-stripping, I cleaned the door latches and replaced the 36 year old grease, I ordered some new door lock cylinders that were listed as a direct replacement, they did not however work out I was able to rejuvenate the PS lock, but the DS is in poor shape I ordered the replacement stuff from Carparts.com, the weather-stripping and the cleaned/greased latches worked out really well the WS fit great and was a pretty easy install
