Yep, it's a snowboard pack. Looked just right.

Thrift store find. If I started a category about that it would be lengthy 🤣

Doesn’t get better than that :applause:

4” Palmetto State Armory upper

“homemade” lower, Leupold RDS, she runs pretty good. Wouldn’t trust my life with it but is a fun range toy. Put on a folding buffer tube attachment which gets it pretty small. Definitely fits in a backpack.

The other one is identical but 8” PSA upper.

Did my first AR15 build a couple years ago.  Went with .50 Beowulf.  Powerful short-range cannon.

Would you do the Beowulf again? I’ve definitely thought about doing one. Or a .458 Socom. I like the thought of a short range thumper.

I'm happy with my build.  I really had no need for a long range rifle.  At the time, I lived on a steep hill with a long private driveway.  My thought is that I could practically stop a Sherman tank from approaching the house if I had to.  I live in a subdivision now, so I still have no need for long range.  I have no regrets.  It's an expensive round to buy, but you can't go much cooler than this bad boy.
