ROADLESS
The only # i was able to find is the base weight of 2955 lbs. (according to msn_auto) don't know how reliable that # is though.

Oizarod115
nevermind that last post, i searched naxja there was a whole thread on it. the most commonly agreed on weight was 3200-3600 depending on gas, spares, people, and such. here's the thread link... http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.p ... urb+weight
commando14
MSN Autos is a good site to check for basic information like weight, horsepower, wheelbase, etc.. They don't always have all the information but it's still worth it to check out sometimes: http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/spec_ ... &trimid=-

jpdriver1
Pete --- any difference for the metric ton?
Eagle
Pete, what year were those numbers for? I know I got the number I quoted directly from an '86 Owners manual, and it doesn't match any of your numbers.
Skidd3R
search you vin on a vin decoder. It will tell you the manufactures GVWR. for your build model.

Pete M
All the numbers were from my 88 dealership brochure. I've never been able to figure out why the GVWR in my 86 brochure shows as slightly higher than in 88, but the payload rating was actually less (1200 compared to 1475). I gotta imagine that you merely need to be in the ballpark. Metric tonne lb 2x4 curb weight: 2959; GVWR: 5165 Metric tonne lb 4x4 curb weight: 3141; GVWR: 5347 GVWR from my 86 brochure (all longbeds of course), no curb weight given: 2x4: 4554 4x4: 4779 Metric tonne 2x4: 5208 Metric tonne 4x4: 5375 Oh, and every single number is for a 2.5L engine. Jeep on! --Pete
