Armyvet25
The threads are coming apart at the seam in the picture, I'm sure further use will only result in it tearing very near in the future, what's the best way to prevent this without re-upholstery? Seat cover...maybe one of those heat applied patches from underneath facing upward to add strength?? yeah it needs cleaned too

As much as I hate to pull the seat, might be the best thing to do, have to anyway if I want to see if I can lower it slightly

It’s 4 bolts, and then it comes right out, then take it inside, flip it over, unbolt the brackets and you should be able to see how it is connected. It’s a really easy thing
jpnjake
those are power seat tracks, but they bolt up the same. 4 bolts hold the tracks to the seat, and 4 more bolts hold the seat bottom on

gogmorgo
Easy is relative. If those nuts rust in place like mine did you may not be able to bolt the seat back down by the time you get them out. Can’t really get a ton of heat onto them with the carpet right there.

Armyvet25
Their not that bad yet, since I don't daily it, but have to repair sooner than a serious tear develops
