454 BBC comanche

I know this is a long shot and I mean long. But I gotta 454 with a th400 in a trade for cheap while I was getting ready for an ls swap but what are the chance someone else has put a 454 into a manche

Haven’t seen an MJ with a bbc but you may find someone in the XJ forums who has

A SBC is a tight fit. Good luck with a big block.

If I had the choice between the 2, I'd prefer an LS for all the modernity it brings.

454 is also a heavy engine, possibly more than the 4.0L six.  I'd rather a much lighter LS as well if going the Chevy route. 

Could you make it work, likely, it would fill the engine bay.
