No Interior lights with Drivers door.

Hey I’ve got a 87 Comanche and the interior lights won’t come on when you open the drivers door. The passenger door will turn them all on so I know they all work. The weird thing is that the drivers door will still activate the buzzer if you leave the key in or headlights on but it won’t turn on the lights. So I know the truck knows the doors open it’s just not turning the lights on. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The switch on the driver's side is a two wire switch,  either one of the wires fell off or is rusted

Pull the switch out of the door and clean it. Chances are it’s corroded and not turning on the lights.

Also check the wiring in the foot well, I had the wire for the lights pinched under a bolt holding the parking brake pedal assembly to the body.

I had the same problem, you need a new switch.  Duralast SW90 is a direct replacement.  I got mine at AutoZone and it was in stock.
