No spark on New harness.

Need some help. Just put in my second engine harness. Now I have fuel and everything works but I don't have spark again. New cap and plugs tested two different coils and icms. New cps and tried to unplug it for a while and then try again and still different. What could be my issue?

Tested the cps again and it is definitely fine. Tested coil and it is good. Tried to ground coil wire to block but nothing.

Had the distributor yellow wire not plugged in by accident. Would this change anything with Starting?

The dizzy harness? that won't keep it from starting.

distributor. Dizzy is Australian slang for distributor.

Ohh ok. But I'm not getting spark and that happened on both of the harness that I've put in. Don't you think thats probably a bad distributor?

Nope. That doo-hickey inside the dizzy is for the injectors to fire sequentially. Has NOTHING to do with spark.

have you confirmed that your distributor is spinning around?  I've seen a couple of stripped gears and broken shafts over the years.

 

do you have power going to the ICM?

I had taken it out and the hears were fine in it.

Tried another ecu that wasn't the problem either.

How would I check for power to the icm? And if it doesn't have power what powers it?

14 gauge yellow wire from the ignition switch is where it gets its power.

It is triggered by a yellow wire from the eCU.

So I should check those for 12v while cranking ?

I would turn the key ON and check the one from the ignition switch.

 

That's the yellow wire in the 3 pin connector.

Think I found my problem @cruiser54my yellow wire came of place in my push to start

So I found a problem but not the problem I guess. That yellow wire was not connected properly so I fixed it snd still nothing. I also don't have power to my rem on the diagnostic ports if that helps with anything

I also tested 3 yellow wires at the ecu and no 12v on either of them with ignition on. So don't know if that will tell you anything or not,
