boxyjeep
Anyone know where to get these? Would also be awesome if someone was comfortable posting a high-res pic of theirs (ideally 87-90 4.0L). I just moved to California and will be getting registered/smogged here. Unfortunately these are required.

The86manche
I have experience from applying them at my work. But not ordering them. I work in a bodyshop. It's a reprint sticker more or less. I don't know how much it costs either. I'm sure it varies. I also happen to have saved a vin sticker from a 90 from somewhere on the internet because I was going to have one made for my truck when it's restored. boxyjeep
For anyone interested, I found a few companies that print replacement emissions and VIN stickers, but they only sell to body shops. I discovered some reference pictures online and reproduced by emissions label and VIN sticker using Photoshop and Excel. I uploaded the images to a custom vinyl/sticker website and am having them printed. Only about an hour of time and $40 to have printed. I printed drafts out on my printer and they looked good. Hopefully the same result with the print shop. These are screenshots of the PDFs--they look a lot better when actually printed. The VIN sticker also has a valid barcode that scans. For those interested--these are required to register an out-of-state vehicle in California. They need the emissions sticker for smog testing and the VIN label for VIN verification. My truck was an original California truck, but I took it out of state for a year (and mistakenly registered it out of state). Bringing it back in now and getting things lined up for emissions and registration.
howeitsdone
Nice! I started making them after another member requested one, but there didn't seem to be enough interest so I gave up. Was going to buy a roll of each and sell them, but oh well. Guess I could start doing them again...
JimB
I would be interested in them. Restoring my 1986 Comanche. The drivers door was replaced and painted many years ago, so sticker was lost. I put a 4.0 in many years ago. Also sticker under hood was removed for painting. Please let me know if you plan to make some.
Parei_doll_ia
I'd be interested too. I sanded it off when I painted the jambs since it was too far gone, but I did take a picture of it and wrote everything down in excel
boxyjeep
Will let you guys know how they come out once printed. The under-hood emissions label is unique to the year, engine, and CA/Fed status. The VIN sticker is unique to the model GVWR and VIN (with scan-able VIN barcode). Depending on how the printed decals look, I may consider taking orders, but it would take a bit of time to customize each one.
ExpatMJGuy
Is this a difficult thing for a body shop to order? Someone has painted over mine. It would be a good idea to get mine replaced before it gets put on the boat overseas.

I’ve got a template I can share.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Unfortunately though I'm finding super expensive to be the name of the entire game when it comes to taking my truck with me when we move. All will be worth it though when she's sitting in front of my house with New South Wales plates on her and only one of less than a handful of MJs on the entire continent of Australia. Pete M
snag spare parts before you leave!
ExpatMJGuy
I have to pick and choose with spare parts but I’m still after them. Luckily I’m selling a lot of stuff before I leave the country because my household goods will be expensive to ship. It’s a bit of offset but I still have to watch my spending before such a large move.
