1986 Jeep Cherokee 2 door
Dana 30/35, 2.5 liter engine, 3speed auto trans and unknown transfer case.
Unknown build date, stickers have been spray painted black. It’s currently located in wonder lake Illinois, runs well 4x4 and trans work but it’ll be for parts. The frame is toast, nothing left on the drivers side.
I will be stripping drivetrain and interior parts and scrapping the shell. Black interior in okay shape, dash is junky but workable door panels are usable.

No gearing on the build sheet huh?
mom hoping for 4.56s. Attached is the best photo of the trans I can take right now, the front wheel bearing is about ready to separate and I won’t have garage space for it until next weekend so it has to wait until then to go on jack stands. Is the 4 speed in this Jeep an early aw4?

Being that it’s a 3 speed auto, it probably does not have 4.56s, but don’t quote me on that. I’d guess you more than likely have 3.55s seeing as though that’s what the 4cyl 4 speed manual trucks had.
