OldSch88L
So I didn't waste any time and put my new REM to work and found out the IAT sensor is pretty much dead. The REM constantly reads 246F, and my multimeter can't even get a resistance reading out of the sensor. I've read elsewhere that there's a GM sensor that's pretty close in terms of specs and ohms. Anybody ever tried it?
cruiser54
Someone will chime in with a TOMCO number shortly. Have you tried cleaning it?

I was thinking about it, but wondered if it was worth it since I get no reading from it... Wouldn't a dirty sensor at least have a little resistance? Mine actus like an open circuit... OldSch88L
So I went with a GM #2309506751-equivalent sensor from Rockauto with matching pigtail. I installed it in the airbox lid, and with the truck sitting for a while, I got a 63 degrees F water temp and about 61-62 degrees F air temp readings according to the REM, so way within the error margin IMO. Looks like a worthy replacement!
OldSch88L
Here are the part numbers for those interested; the sensor is a Delphi unit.
EUREKA
So you installed this in the airbox lid to replace the one in the intake? The images of the parts on rockauto don't seem to match. The pigtail has some protrusions that determine orientation, that I don't see accommodated on the sensor.

The photo from my previous post is of the parts I actually used, and worked perfectly. If you check the next photo on RockAuto, you clearly see the notches to orient the connector properly. And I would like to know if the car is consuming more fuel since the change? I would appreciate your response and references.
