Muncher Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 It got me good. I live on a dead end road and the road it's on has two trees down on each side

Muncher Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 True. But it's kinda spicy fire wood as in there's power lines wrapped up in it.
Pete M Posted August 22, 2021 Author Posted August 22, 2021 hmmm, gotta be careful with that self-igniting firewood. maybe the power company will assist with that. maybe.
FrankTheDog Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 Still have power here. Eversource said we were going to lose it for 5-10 days. We’ll see.
Eagle Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 I lucked out. As of Saturday, the prediction was for landfall at New Haven, which would have taken the center of the storm right over me. Overnight the trajectory shifted east, with landfall at Westerly, RI (sorry, Muncher!). After having stocked up on fuel and test-run the generator ... nothing happened. I had some rain, but nothing torrential, and the winds weren't even gale force. All in all it was a giant nothingburger -- for which I am very grateful.
