swilson
What vehicle could i get rims from that would fit my 89 comanche. I would like to go to 16" rims as there are more choices for tires. There are not many vehicles now with 15's. Also what tire size would give me a 29" tire with a 16" rim? Thanks
bgred2
I used Jeep Liberty 16" rims. The only problem was the backspacing. I had to add Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers to get proper clearance.

1999MJ
I have a set of 16" ford explorer wheels that I had on my MJ and they worked fine and cleared everything without wheel spacers. Interested in buying them? $100 for all 4 wheels.. tires are miss matched and would need new ones
Geonovast
P215/75 R16 would give you a 28.69 in diameter...close enough?

dfreeman616
i have a set of rims of a 2002 ranger fx4 package in 16x7 flavor, had to clearnce out the hub opening a little but otherwise fit great with 245/75r16's on it, which is about 30.5x9.6"
Eagle
My wife's 2000 XJ Classic has 16" rims and 225/70R16 tires. My 2000 XJ Sport has 15" rims and 225/75R15 tires. (note the difference in the last two digits of each tire size). The tires are the same diameter.
swilson
Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it. I would love to find a set of Rubicon's. They look awesome! How much did you guys pay for them? New or used?

How much did you guys pay for them? New or used? I traded mine even up with a guy in my club for the set of black steel rims and 33" mud rovers that came on the comanche. My rims are pretty scuffed up, but match the rest of the truck ;)
