1987 comanche ignition switch assembly

i took out the column ignition switch to replace, waited on Rockauto delivery, i can't remember if ign switch bracket goes on first, or the dimmer switch bracket. i finally got it together, now starter won't engage, so will remove again to adjust. need advice to put it back together correctly, thanks

Just did the same.  Take it back out, use a screwdriver and make sure the slider is all the way to the back and move it forward one click.  Re-install, paying attention to NOT move the slider.  You have to have that one back click for Accessory mode.

thanks andy in pa, i wanted to know how to reassemble, i forgot if ignition switch goes on first and then the dimmer switch. please let me know inam not certain i didnt take pic before took apart

Have you ever checked fuel pressure when it won't run?
