Muncher Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 The front needs to be shrunk as well I would say for that to look right
Jeep_Rat Posted August 31, 2021 Author Posted August 31, 2021 Gotta be a use for 4 door Cherokees besides just for Comanche parts.
Jeep_Rat Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 This 2.5 came out of an automatic so the flexplate bolts were too short. The thread is m11 x 1.0 for 86-90 models. Rare manual steering box, no a/c.
Jeep_Rat Posted September 28, 2021 Author Posted September 28, 2021 This AX-5 is out of an '86 so it had the snout on the front cover and the external slave. '87 models had the internal slave setup. Converted by cutting off the snout flush with the cast housing and fabbing small bracket to locate the internal slave. The giant gouges inside bell housing speak to why the p.o. junked it

Jeep_Rat Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 Trying to find time to get back to this...
GrandBoost98 Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 Awesome build here! Curious as to why you went from external to internal slave? I would have traded you!
