Dave Vig
If I replace the upper radiator hose and all the other hoses around where the coolant bottle is near the fire wall. Do I need to do anything special? Or do I just remove and replace?
eaglescout526
Ohhhh those aren’t factory clamps. I have never seen those. It looks like someone went through the trouble to use what looks like those AC hose clamps to keep the hoses from leaking. Dang what a leak preventative. tugboat95
Gonna have to cut them off. Replace with heater hose and a hose clamp. Buy by the foot at any auto parts store. I deleted the valve there and converted to an open cooling system just last week. Cut the hose fitting, not the pipe coming out the firewall. You're gonna need that.89 ComancheEliminator2wd4.0L5 speed PukeGoatFactory Original
JMO413
Those are factory on the 4.0 from what I have seen. Mine had those on it also. I used a grinder with a thin cut off disc. Just cut through the aluminum band and they will peel off. The hose to the pressure tank is special. Let me try to figure out where I got it.
