Gearing?

Regardless if it is a Comanche or Cherokee D44 someone will want it. The Trac-Loc from my understanding isn't super special but can be a decent LSD when friction material is not worn out. It will definitely command more than the 2x 8.25 3.55s I just bought for my truck (100 for one and 150 for another). 3.55s or higher will demand more money.

How much something like that would go for is so subjective that it's just too hard to guess. If you find the right buyer, (someone looking for an MJ Dana 44) it could be worth a significant amount, $500 to $1000, maybe?

If it were mine, I would keep it, and spend the money to get it geared the way I wanted it.

The Trash-Lok is as good as any other clutch type limited slip, and it almost always needs rebuilt. It seems like intended service life on the clutch packs is somewhere in the range of 30,000 to 50,000 miles. They aren't expensive to replace, and can be done yourself. But in a Dana 44, you have to deal with the carrier break, (3.73 and down from memory?).
