89 MJ
It’s hard to see, but if you look closely above the rear flare of my Comanche just above the white part of the sky, you can see Air Force 1. He is coming to the town 6 miles away from us. This isn’t about politics, it’s just cool.

derf
I've been at an airfield where the plane has been parked. It's pretty cool.
mjeff87
My place of employment is a stone's throw from Richmond International Airport. RIC is an alternate landing site for AF1 in the event other airfields are not available. About 2X per year, it does touch-and-go's (no POTUS aboard....) as practice. The pilot does a slow, low CCW circle around the perimeter area, almost directly overhead about 5-6 times, then heads back north. It's pretty awesome to watch. silvertwinkiehobo
I lived where that plane was built, along with all the other 747's, in Everett, WA. I even lived in the military housing next door to the 747 plant when Boeing built it, and flew the first one. Standing at the end of the runway to watch one take off is a sight like no other, especially when you're a small kid.
