eaglescout526 Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 I saw this and thought the same exact thing.
strictlyxjs Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 Why destroyed out of curiosity? Because they cut pass the pinch seam. I know most people do the cut and fold method? I'm not a fan of cut fenders which is why when i built my xj i planned it so the 33 tuck into the body perfectly even with 33" long arm on 4.5 lift and no trimming.

I've heard of rear windows popping out because of it and seen a few XJs that were very much not straight after they were flexed out with the pinch seam cut. Imagine being rear ended with the inner and outer fenders just flopping around like that. There really isn't much holding these tubs together, after doing a lot of rust repair on an XJ, it's amazing how little structure there really is in them.
