What axle shaft is this....was this

I'm doing an axle swap in my comanche. I got the axle from a 91 cherokee but I'm pretty sure it was not original to that jeep. The shaft was broken and I don't know what to order. Here is a picture and can get more if needed. Guy at the parts store didnt have any ideas

Appears to be right. It should have some lengths to check. Crown will be serviceable, probably offshore origin. That price seems a little high to me, but I haven't shopped around. Maybe that's OK for a complete assembly.

Agreed, looks like the short side of a Dana 30.  You have a picture of the actual axle assembly?  It'll be easier to identify with that.

Looks like the short side of a Dana 30 to me. I believe they are pretty interchangeable through the years, U-joint side being the difference.

Yeah that's a Dana 30.  Its high pinion without a vacuum disconnect so its from somewhere in the neighborhood of a 95-99 XJ axle.

I was just told a ABS or none ABS shaft would work. Is this true?

Either should work in a non-ABS axle. The ABS shaft should have a tone ring, and I believe the ABS shafts had the larger U-joints.
