Do you want OEM equivalent to attempt to restore your MJ to factory appearance, or just good seat belts?

I used these guys, and their belts are perfectly acceptable, but they are not a perfect match to OEM.    However, I went with the type of female buckles that are attached to a stiff cable, rather than the fabric type, as they are easier to find with a bucket seat and a console.

Just after some good seat belts. I figured they wouldn't be perfect OEM matchable. 30 year old seat belts just don't seem like a great idea to use especially since I might race this thing.

Biggest concern was fitment because they are for an xj. As long as I don't have to cut up trim and they work I'm good.

I run WJ belts. Cuz I had them available in a parts jeep.
If you do this, use the driver on passenger and vice versa. Because of how the brackets and belt mount .

Give them a call, that's what they do. They sew them on site. Good friend of mine bought a roll of new seat belt material and dropped off his old buckles and they made him a set that was OEM that looked new.

The result was beyond amazing!

So the universal 3 point style from seatbelt plus is a pretty much a drop in replacement. Only thing I had to do was enlarge the hole on the retractor. Everything else bolted right in and it fit behind the b pillar perfectly. They also look exactly like the OEM belts. Buckles and all.

@70barracuda

Just for clarity, which ones did you purchase?

https://www.seatbeltsplus.com/product/WSCH256P.html     or

Enlarging the hole on the retractor...just trimming the b-pillar trim?

Glad you were able to find something that matched!

First one. The Cherokee specific one seemed like it could work but that bracket on the retractor worried me so I went for universal. There are a lot of different styles but that's the one that worked for me.

And just enlarging the one hole. No b pillar trimming required at all.
