ghetdjc320
Hello all, As some of you already know, I've been compiling source files to recreate various parts that are out of production. I had planned to bring these into production but am not able to. These files represent a lot of time and effort. I also went through literally hundreds of samples of films that can be used for the switch trim covers to provide the most original texture and finish. there are other source files that we can add here for various other parts that can't be found anymore. If you have any additional files you would like to add I please post it and I will add it to this original post for easy reference. That way we only ever need to read the first post. This is not meant to be a write-up either, only a source for the files. The film you need for the overlay of the dash bezels is Solyx-1002. You can purchase it here: https://www.decorativefilm.com/solyx-sx-1002-clear-sand-blast You can get samples for about $.50/ea which are 5x7. A sample is enough to do two switch trim panels. I would recommend they be done in pairs since there will be slightly more "sheen" than the OEM product. I have not found another product that replicated the OEM finish better but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If you find something you prefer, please let me know. You will need to have the switch trim covers printed in black and white vinyl and reverse printed to the front is the adhesive part. You will then apply it to the back of the film. You will need to use a very light blue arcyrlic paint over the symbols if you would like the glow to be green like the original. . ghetdjc320
These are vector traced files that will keep precise dimensions if printed properly. For splash guards, you could use these as a template or just have a my flap manufacturer cut these for you

Otherwise it will be too opaque. Paper just doesn’t have the color saturation like vinyl does
boxyjeep
Willing to customize these and print out the vinyl for folks for a fee? Would like to get two--one with "Fog Lights", "Aux Fan", and the other with "Ext Idle", and "Front Locker". Let me know.

I’ll be moving to Micronesia soon and will be unable to do anything with these projects which is why I made them open source. I only ask that no one tries to profit from them. You can easily change the symbols on the switch covers to whatever you need. Just keep the placement the same you you can have the glow through effect from the backlighting

I’ll make sure it goes to a good buyer here on island. If i ship to Micronesia it will die there. Lack of parts and lost o salt air with rain. I’ve never seen machinery reclaimed faster by nature than Micronesia.
