Exterior door handle

Recommended Posts

If its plastic, not really. I suppose you could remove the old stud and glue or JB weld another one in its place. Or some members have metal handles(Chrome but paintable) that the stud normally doesn't break but is threaded into the handle so if it breaks it can be replaced.

I know I broke my drivers side handle studs. Just ended up replacing the handle until I got my metal handles.

Decided to try to drill and tap new threads and grinding down the stud heated the glue/plastic enough to pop out the dowel inside the handle. Gonna attempt to jb weld them back in with threaded holes and use bolts instead of nuts.IMG_20200418_160332070.jpg.70c4fa43356bf87725f5539e4c193384.jpg
