Pete M Posted April 9, 2020 Share Posted April 9, 2020 1 hour ago, Hoyt94 said: What manual do I have and what gear ration is in the diffs? the stock transmission would have been a Peugeot BA-10/5 axle ratio would have been 3.07 but lots of things can happen in 3 decades so you'll want to check and verify that. the case for the Peugeot splits into a left and right half (the later AX-15 has a front and rear half). gear ratio can be checked by jacking up one rear tire and spinning it around exactly twice while you count the times the driveshaft rotates. If the driveshaft rotates about 3 and a half times, it's a 3.55 ratio. if it spins around a bit over 4 times it's 4.10. etc. Their aren't infinite ratios. the common ones you might find in the various Jeeps back then are: 3.07, 3.55, 3.73, 4.10 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
