A lot of ford 8.8 in Jeeps of all shapes and sizes....has any one ever used (or hear or read of) the factory diff mounted ford speed sensor to set up a cruise control on a non cruise Jeep?

I have a '98 XJ with cruise I added. Also, has a Ford 8.8. The cruise control has nothing to do with the Ford 8.8, to my knowledge. There is an electrical sensor on top of the Ford 8.8. It is for the Anti-lock brakes.
Pete M Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 on non ABS Libertys there is a sensor on top of the rear diff that I do believe controls the speedo. not sure how to use that signal though.
ghetdjc320 Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 You could probably use a signal calibrator like one from Dakota digital to use whatever signal the axle can give you.
