TheJeepNut
Man I love that hood. I may have to see about one of those "cowl induction" shapes for #24. I covet the steel ones that used to be made in Memphis but I guess we'll never see those again. On 1/15/2020 at 10:12 AM, Limeyjeeper said: They are made by Quik-latch. They are way too expensive for the quality of the product. But I needed lockable. There are some cheaper knock offs on Amazon $399.00 for the polished stainless Q50 vs. $50ish on Amazon.... Is there really a huge difference in quality? I don't want cheap plastic, cheesy chrome or unfinished rough edges. I want a quality product but I'm having a realy hard time understanding $400 for these things. Are they significantly more stout than the knockoffs? Limeyjeeper
I wouldn't spend the money on Quiklatch. The quality is pretty poor. There is a small grub screw that holds the body together it strips really easily. Very poor design. Not worth $400 IMHO

I may be ex-Navy, but that's disgusting! I saw a VW Passat in Battleship Grey, and it looks like it should say "USN" and have a serial number under it. My truck has come a long way since the picture I posted. It's now a hodgepodge of colors after updating to 97+ front clip/fenders/doors and an unfaded/straight hood. Will be going with Chrysler Flame Red likely like this with black bumpers and body-color flares.
