Swampy
Hey guys. I need some help. As some of you know, my mj caught on fire and I am swapping a new harness. I found a random red wire that was cut. I goes back to the starter relay, only problem is I'm not sure where it goes. The red wire meets 2 other red wires (total of 3) at a fuse-able link that goes to a green wire on the starter relay. One of the red wires has like a spade connector on it, the other seems to go to one of the bulkhead connectors for the fuse panel under the dash. I have been looking at the wiring diagram and I don't find the fuse-able link with 3 red wires
Swampy
I think the cut wire is supposed to go the latch relay but I'm not sure where that's at on the truck.

Swampy
I don't know what this plug is.... Also I cannot find a plug for the alternator or the oil pressure sender on this "new harness"
eaglescout526
Alrighty. It’s a goal to get pictures today. The holidays and such is madness. Anyways that top plug goes to a sensor on the power steering pump pipe. The oil pressure should be just a single plug with black rubber on it to protect the plug itself and the alt should be a GM looking plug that is rectangle in shape. I installed power steering from a 4.0l I'll see if it has that plug that's the alternator plug and oil sender plug from my old harness. I can't find them on the new harness might just rewire them completely. Have plenty of material

It should be just a sensor on a pipe for power steering and not on the pump itself. I will be sure to get thorough and detailed pics for ya. Swampy
As far as the alternator and oil sender go. I found the wires for the voltage gauge and the oil pressure gauge behind the gauge cluster. Can I just wire them straight to the gauge cluster? eaglescout526
Don't quote me on such, Ohm would know better than me but I don't see why not.
Ωhm
Looks like your missing the Alternator Harness. Can you get it off your old harness. Look on pg 87 for C105 (Engine to Alternator). Also includes Oil Sender or Pressure Switch.
Swampy
No don't think I'm going to be able to get if from my old harness. using the diagrams I am remaking the connections that were needed
Ωhm
Does your new/replacement harness have C105? If so, wire to that.

Swampy
Jeep is cranking but the fuel pump isnt priming. If I checked it correctly the connector by the gas tank wasn't getting power in the key on/run position. I have to check grounds, going to add fuel pump ground. open to ideas
Ωhm
Does D1_6 show B+ voltage when engine is CRANKING?

Swampy
well the D1_6 shows voltage but not enough. when cranking it was at 0.58 volts... I was going to add the fuel pump ground tomorrow. but not sure what else it could be
Ωhm
D1_6 is the switched side of the fuel pump relay (fuel pump voltage). Measure voltage on the following pins: D1-5 B+ (Hot at all times) D1_2 B+ (Hot with KEY ON or engine CRANKING)
