Comanche1
Doing my clutch next week on my 87 4cyl 4 speed. Any surprises? How easy does shifter come out? Thanks.
eaglescout526
Well you can remove the shifter one of two ways. One under the dust boot is a retainer you push down on and twist in I think counter clockwise direction. The other is to just unbolt the four bolts that hold the shifter in place without fighting that retainer while laying or barely sitting up under the truck. yxmj
I would grab a can of PB blaster and start soaking bolts down now. as well, if they have not been changed the 2 top bolts on the bell housing are (if i remember correct torex....T?) you will need that and long extension to get them Even if the Master is good change the line between the master and slave to save you problems in the future..... I have the same truck and been there so any problems just ask........

yxmj
I have no easy answer for that I would test drive it and pull the filler plug.....if nothing runs out top it up...... (the containers are for sure 1 liter .....not 750 ml?)
