mini-console same for str and auto?

I am looking for a honey colored mini-console for a MJ 4.0, 5speed.  I have found a mini-console for an automatic.  Will the auto indicator pop out so a boot will fit in?

Yep same for both , I just came across one when I was in Toledo but never grabbed it because didn't have a use for it then .

I've seen some mini consoles that are longer in the front, I assumed they were for the automatics to accommodate the linkage but I only see one part number listed in the parts catalog.

But as Stroker said each will accommodate the boot, however, you do need the retaining ring for a proper fit.

It was a brand new console in a parts collection, I didn't see any knee board when I was there . I wouldn't be back there for several months until I build up some more cash flow to purchase more parts

Interesting that this diagram shows the coin tray (#8) as a separate part.  I've had mini consoles where that was the case, and also where it was one molded piece with the rest of the console.

 

I've also seen long and short mini consoles, and someone here at CC explained the difference, but I can't remember what it is.

Thanks for the help.  If I can find a honey one new, I would prefer that.
