floridaftwman Posted May 30, 2019 Share Posted May 30, 2019 1988 Jeep Comanche Pioneer RWD/4.0/AW4/D35 3 owner Comanche originally purchased in Orlando, FL. PO bought it from original owner in ‘06 and it lived in Stuart, FL until I brought it back home to Orlando earlier this month. Build date: Unknown, sticker missing when purchased Condition: It runs and I currently drive it 2 or 3 times a week. It’s drives straight and is virtually rust free, but it does need some work. I’m having it inspected by a Jeep specialty shop in a couple of weeks to find any hidden problems/issues I’ve yet to discover (I don’t have the time to comb through it myself). Notes: It’s pretty much all original. Column shifter, rear slider, tilt steering, grey interior with cloth bench seat, factory bed liner, tonneau cover. It’s been painted (original color was a dark gray/slate/gun metal), has a fabricated tube style rear bumper and has an R134a conversion. There’s also a switch on the dash that has an image of the transmission and a little indicator light. Switched on its “power” and switched off it’s “comfort.” The switch appears to work as the light comes on, but I’ve not driven it with the switch on....
