nknapp16
What's up guys, anyone know what sleeve/adapter/flange I need to make this exhaust work. I needed a new front pipe, old one has a hole. It has a 4 bolt flange where it connects to catalytic converter, the cat I have doesnt have that flange its straight 2.5 pipe. So just looking for a 4 bolt adapter or another idea. nknapp16
Thanks man! Is there a certain pipe that works with this? (Flanges out) I'm not looking to weld
nknapp16
I think what I'm looking for exactly is this, but in 4 bolt....can't seem to find it(center of pic)
Jeep Driver
That is a Cat flange, you'll find on the end of a replacement cat. You can make your own flange.......you'll have to weld.
nknapp16
Would love to weld, no welder
Jeep Driver
OK. You can buy a cat, bolt it up. You can pay a muffler shop a few bucks to weld it up. You can cut off the flange of the Walker and use a clamp. You can just got to a muffler shop and have them make you a new down pipe. Many options. nknapp16
Perfect, that's what I was looking for. Thanks, idk why it wasn't crossing my mind to cut the flange off the front pipe.
ComancheKid45
Yep, I've always just cut the flange off of the downpipes.
Eagle
I would cut the flange off the old cat and weld or clamp it to the new cat. The factory down pipe is designed to be supported by the transmission mount. If you cut the flange off the down pipe, you lose that support. If nknapp doesn't have the original cat with the flange, maybe some other CC member has an old cat and could provide the flange with a short section of pipe still attached.
