R1. Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 So, I saw on this page https://bit.ly/2HoiEQI that a 1987 to 2004 Dodge Dakota bumper will fit on a Comanche. Does anyone have any experience with this? There are lots of these at the pick n pull.
Pete M Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Westin's bumper probably fits both, but there will be an adapter bracket to make it work. if you can fab an adapter, you can make most any bumper work.
johnj92131 Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 Check out this link for the answer to your question from our DIY section: But good luck finding a decent 1st generation Dakota rear bumper.
mark 39 Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 (edited) ^^ {johnj's link} PO of my '87 MJ did much the same except did not weld on L-bracket. Dakota bumper only wraps about an inch around fender; not concours but looks decent.Perhaps adapt stock ends? Also tow rating is lower than Westin bumper if that matters to you.
