Everyone please be safe out there. This entire road was ice. cop responding to my call almost slid into me as well. I'm pretty devastated right now but no one got hurt and its just sheet metal. gonna start tearing into it in the am. have two parts xjs...just gonna be a few diff colors for a little while. frame seems utouched and the factory winch made it out alive minus one tow hook bracket.

Ouch, but yeah, looks fixable.  That's shame it was so minty.

Is calling the cops on your own single vehicle accident a good idea there?  Here they would just write you a nice fat ticket for your efforts, then call flaggers and tow truck so you get to eat that bill too...  When I rolled my Dodge I was adamant that they would not be calling a tow truck for me as the vehicle was not on the road, which saved me $1000 or so as I used my BCAA (AAA).

Here in TN, no tow truck will dispatch to the scene of an accident without the police being contacted first, driver/company will loose truck/licence and will be fined. Assumption is that driver is impaired.

yes i would have been charged with leaving a scene of an accident and insurance likes a police report. what you cat see is behind that green fence is a huge plant that makes electrical wire it runs 24/7 even on christmas. the machines run so hot that they keep the huge bay doors open to let in cool air. a bunch of workers saw it happen.

Man, that really sucks, but I'm glad you're ok. As an XJ owner, I would understand you must devastated, even if it is fixable.Good luck with the rebuild and glad you're upright to tell the tale!

That is fixable... Looks like you missed most of the frame rail. If you can spot weld and drill... You can get it back to what once was. I know.
