budwisr Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 A little more trivia...what other supercar (on the list) was developed by the same engineer that developed the Comanche?
Ωhm Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Dick Teague did both the XJ/MJ and AMX/3, but I don't know the third vehicle.

The Ford GT40 and the Comanche (Cherokee) were both engineered by Roy Lund. Unfortunately Mr. Lund passed away recently. He had quite a successful career. https://jalopnik.com/ford-gt-and-jeep-cherokee-engineering-legend-roy-lunn-d-1797912762 On 12/21/2017 at 8:08 PM, Ωhm said: Dick Teague did both the XJ/MJ and AMX/3, but I don't know the third vehicle. Dick Teague was another automotive great, but he was a designer, responsible for the Jeep styling.
cruiser54 Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Things come full circle. Didn't the Italians play a big part in the development of that car?

AMC commissioned former Ferrari engineer Giotto Bizzarrini to engineer and build the AMX 3's in Italy. Bizzarrini is credited for being the father of the Ferrari 250 GTO.
cruiser54 Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Just for fun, here's a link to my album from the AMC Owner's show in Sedona, Arizona years back. The AMX is the prototype. Not for the 3 of course.... https://imgur.com/a/spPds
