Jaime
Hello, Can anyone tell me the biggest tire that will fit underneath in the spare tire carrier. I have 31's on the truck now and want a spare as close to that will fit in the carrier. Thank You!
HOrnbrod
A 31" tire will fit - barely.
dasbulliwagen
I have JK wheels on mine (shortbed) and wasnt able to fit a full size JK 32" takeoff wheel and tire under there. Though a JK 16" steel wheel and tire takeoff fit in there nicely. Threre has to be 2-3 inch difference between the two. So as was said, 31 might be tight depending on actual size and brand. Eagle
I had a 31x10.50-15 under my shortbed.
DesertRat1991
Long bed or short bed? Is your proportioning valve intact or not? With a 30" tire, I have zero clearance between the tire and proportioning valve bracket. They are touching.

Skorpyo
I have deleted my Load Sensing valve and have a 255/75/17 (JK take off) ~32" tire under mine. I have to crank it up slightly off center to keep it away from the exhaust, but it BARELY fits. Oh, and I have an 8.8 rear with a 4.5" SOA lift that helps with clearance... Jaime
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you guys on this. It's a good thing I'm not a betting man because I would have lost. I would have bet money that my BFG 31x10.5x15 would not fit in that space. The only limiting factor is the exhaust pipe. and even then I just pushed of to the side then tighten it up. Thanks again.
