Spare tire

Recommended Posts

I have JK wheels on mine (shortbed) and wasnt able to fit a full size JK 32" takeoff wheel and tire under there. Though a JK 16" steel wheel and tire takeoff fit in there nicely. Threre has to be 2-3 inch difference between the two. So as was said, 31 might be tight depending on actual size and brand.

Long bed or short bed?

LONG BED.

Is your proportioning valve intact or not?

INTACT.

With a 30" tire, I have zero clearance between the tire and proportioning valve bracket. They are touching.

EXHAUST PIPES ARE MY LIMITING FACTOR, LSV OKAY.

I have deleted my Load Sensing valve and have a 255/75/17 (JK take off) ~32" tire under mine. I have to crank it up slightly off center to keep it away from the exhaust, but it BARELY fits.

Oh, and I have an 8.8 rear with a 4.5" SOA lift that helps with clearance...

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you guys on this.

It's a good thing I'm not a betting man because I would have lost. I would have bet money that my BFG 31x10.5x15 would not fit in that space. The only limiting factor is the exhaust pipe. and even then I just pushed of to the side then tighten it up.

Thanks again.
