krustyballer16 Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Looks like that guy had to do a lot of work. Maybe he was juat picky or his jeep was a little off. I didn't read the whole thing, just pictures. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
fiatslug87 Posted December 10, 2017 Author Posted December 10, 2017 That was a prototype, I think they modified it a little. 88whitemanche, take pictures of the installation and keep us updated.

87Warrior Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 I love the design. It's about time someone built a hidden winch mount like this.
mnkyboy Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Very similar to mine, it works good but you have to be careful since you can't see how the cable is winding on the drum very well. I took one wrap of cable off the drum to help keep it from jamming up, that seems to have helped a lot, i recently bought synthetic rope to swap out the cable, I'm hoping it winds up a little smaller which should help too.

I've been following it on his Instagram but didn't notice til juat now. I thought it was a homemade set up. Looks good Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

I was thinking the same... i am waiting until after Christmas to pick up a synthetic winch line because the winch cable off my warn winch has been fraying a bit where did you mount your solenoid box? I was trying to figure out where I can I put it so I can access it easier
mnkyboy Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 My solenoid box is mounted to the winch facing the crank pulley, perk of having a 4banger.

Good to hear... going to experiment a bit... i have a late model 2.5 radiator fan shroud with the built in electric fan that allows you to use the 4.0 radiator
fiatslug87 Posted December 12, 2017 Author Posted December 12, 2017 Are you guys using the Warn M8000 or the Smittybilt 9000 winches? I'm curious which other ones will fit.
